How it works
One conversation system for every way a customer writes you
Texts, website chat and email are not three tools. In StaxBox they are three doors into the same front desk — the same knowledge about your shop, the same lead and thread records, the same approval path, the same receipts.
- A customer writes. A text to your shop number, a message in the chat on your website, or an email. If it’s their first time writing, they become a lead automatically — no one has to remember to add them.
- Stax reads it against your shop’s facts. Hours, services, pricing guidance, policies, and the client’s own record: answers are built from what your shop has taught Stax, not from the open internet.
- Your reply mode decides who sends. Approve everything yourself; let backed answers go out while you approve the rest; or run fully automatic. The mode works through the same checked send path a person uses — never around it.
- The conversation moves toward a booking. Questions get answered, forms and booking requests land on the client record, and the thread stays in one inbox your whole team can see.
- Anything uncertain becomes “Needs you.” A question outside your shop’s facts, a private record, an opt-out, or “can I talk to a person” is handed to your team with a suggested reply ready to send or edit. Stax never guesses past what it has.
- Everything leaves a receipt. Each send records what went out, on which channel, and whose approval stood behind it — including when a standing reply mode approved it, so it’s always clear no person pressed the button.
Channel status, honestly
| Channel | Status | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Text messages | Live today | Running in production at Fargo Tattoo, our own two-artist studio. This is the pipeline the other channels plug into. |
| Website chat | Built — launches first | The chat widget is built into StaxBox as a Forms block with the same public renderer as your forms, backed by the same conversation system as texts. It is the first channel that opens on StaxCloud. |
| In build — same launch | The email channel slot already exists in the conversation system; its adapter — the piece that only moves mail in and out, like the text modem adapter — is the piece in build. When it lands, email threads get the same leads, approvals and receipts as texts, for free. |
Getting your shop set up
On StaxCloud, setup is: create your account, fill in your shop profile (artists, hours, services, policies — the facts Stax answers from), pick your plan and reply mode, then connect your channels. Your instance is provisioned for your shop; your customers, your records and your conversations belong to your shop’s instance, not a shared pool.
